Meet Kadeem Best

 

Coding With At Risk Youth

 

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Kadeem Best discovered his passion for computers and information technology at the tender age of twelve (12). After completing his CXC examinations at the secondary school level, this zeal further took him to seek out higher education pursuits at the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) where he earned an associate’s degree in Information Technology. He then moved on to complete his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing from the University of Greenwich in London, England. He is also the holder of a Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology Solutions from Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Toronto, Canada.

With almost a decade of teaching experience under his belt, he currently lectures at Humber College in Toronto, Canada where he now resides.

His areas of skill include proficiency in Web Development, Application Programming, Web Systems Administration and Database Design and Implementation. His proficiency extends to Programming Languages such as Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript, among many others.

Mr. Best is a dynamic educator who firmly believes in education as a tool of empowerment and actively pursues avenues where he can impart his vast stores of knowledge to young people, especially, who are willing to learn and are passionate about their skill areas.
