Meet Dr. Burton

From the USVI, meet Dr. Cherise M. Burton. She is a native of the U.S. Virgin Islands with Dominican heritage. She has earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of the Virgin Islands, M.S. in Industrial Engineering and M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida, and a Doctor Of Philosophy In Industrial Engineering- Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University.

Her career path has allowed her exposure as a manufacturing/industrial engineer at Ford Motor Company for 4.5 years and more recent Sr. Lead Project Manager at Delta Airlines. Her ultimate goal is to use her knowledge and experience to give back to the education system in the Virgin Islands and to encourage females in engineering to continue to strive and break barriers.
