Meet Bradley Downer
From Guyana! Meet Bradley Downer! He says he’s always been interested in Science and Technology. He has always wanted to create my own websites, apps, robots, perform experiments, etc. During his high school years, a few experiences hindered his path to Science and Technology nonetheless, Bradley’s passion and determination persisted.
After leaving high school, he heard about the ‘STEMGuyana' program and instantly wanted to be apart of it. However, the program only catered for school-aged kids. Still determined, he applied and was finally accepted in August of 2018. He was later trained by the said organization (STEMGuyana), a non-profit organization(NPO) that teaches youth to code and builds robots. Besides working as an Environmental Health Assistant(EHA), He spends time visiting schools, sharing my knowledge of coding and robotics. This, in return, allows students to embrace Science and Technology.
In the future, he would like to become a computer scientist, phlebotomist, writer, and motivational speaker. He says he is proud to be a part of STEMGuyana and encourages young people to start or join a STEM club in their community. Feel free to contact STEMGuyana (stemguyana@gmail.com) if you need assistance on how to do this.
